Brief Biography:

Prof. Dr. L. M. Waghmare completed B.E.(1986) and M.E.(1990) from the SGGS Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nanded and Ph.D. (2001) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. He is recipient of K.S. Krishnan Memorial national award for the best system oriented research paper (published in the IETE Research Journal). He is member of professional societies like ISI, IE, IEEE, ISTE etc. Currently, research project sponsored by NRB (DRDO) is in progress. He is having one book and 90+ publications in the national\international conferences, journals to his credit. Five students completed the Ph.D. under his guidance and research work of five Ph.D. students is in progress. He also guided 36 M.Tech. thesis. His field of interest includes intelligent control, process control and image processing. He worked as resource person for many CEPs, attended 23 short term courses and participated in many workshop/conferences organized by different national/international agencies. He also worked as a resource person for the different CEPs.

He presented research at International Conference, Innsburg, Austria. Recently, Participated in Educon-12,‘The 8th International conference of Vice-Chancellors and policy makers of India’, scheduled during Sept.28, 3012 to Oct.02, 2012 at Shanghai, China.

He worked on various committees formed by NBA/AICTE/DTE/Universities. He was nominated as a member on Board of Management (BOM) of the institute. He was also nominated as a Vice-President of registered charitable trust named SGGS Engineers alumni association. He organized different continuing education programs (CEP). He was also Head of the Department of Instrumentation Engineering during (07.07.2006 - 28.02.2009), Dean (R&D) (01.03.2009 - 06.10.2011) and Dean (Academics) (06.10.2011-21.06.2012), I/c Director (15.05.2012-21.06.2012) at SGGS Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nanded.

Presently, shouldering the responsibility:

      • Director of the institute (Took charge as Director on 21/06/2012 for five year period),
      • Member secretary of Board of Management of the institute,
      • Dean (Faculty of Engineering), SRTMU, Nanded
